Field Note #001
Hello, my name is Azeem.
I'm currently 17 years old, and My Stories started as a personal indie project to solve one of my own problems.
For the past 3+ years, I've been journaling, and one thing I kept struggling with was friction and a place to keep my stories.
Sometimes I didn't feel like typing.
Sometimes I couldn't find old memories or thoughts when I needed them most.
And sometimes I realized how many important moments quietly disappear over time.
That made me wonder:
What if there was a place dedicated not just to journaling, but to writing the story of your life?
A place where you could speak naturally, reflect honestly, and revisit older versions of yourself.
I kept thinking about how meaningful it would feel to look back someday and see:
That idea slowly became My Stories.
A voice-first space for capturing memories, reflections, experiences, and the moments that shape us.
I have built the first prototype because I wanted to know something:
Am I the only person who wants a place like this?
Or are there others who also want to preserve a story worth remembering?
Privacy is also something I care deeply about.
Your entries are stored securely, and I've set up database rules so nobody can access them, not even me. The AI currently uses the Gemini API, which by default does not train on API data, and in the future I hope to move toward private/local models as the project grows.
Right now, I'm mainly trying to validate the idea and find people who resonate with it.
If My Stories speaks to you, joining the waitlist would genuinely help me move this forward.
Thanks for being here early.
Maybe your story deserves a place too.
